The Newborn Experience
I offer in-home, lifestyle sessions for newborns, meaning most of the moments documented have probably already happened. Soothing baby to sleep, big brother giving his newest little sister a kiss, feeding, changing, the list goes on and on. I want to make sure that we not only capture a perfect portrait of your growing family, but also embrace the joyful chaos that comes with the newest addition.
I use the term "newborn" lightly, as I love these type of sessions anytime within the first 6 months of baby's life. For a true newborn session, I would recommend booking and planning at least 2 months ahead of due date and shooting to schedule within 2 weeks of that date. We will be flexible with that time, leaving a few days before and after session date to shift if necessary. However, in-home life style sessions like you see on this page can be taken any time you see fit. It is never too late to document your growing family!

1. Say Hello
Once you have submitted your questionnaire and decided on a collection, we can narrow down a date and time for your session. For newborn sessions, we will choose based on your due date, but I will make sure to leave a few days of flexibility around that date incase of any changes! After the date is decided, I will send you over a contract and invoice for your deposit. Your session date and time are secured once the contract is signed and the deposit is paid.
2. Schedule it
Woohoo! You are officially on my calendar! Now what?
I will use your questionnaire to plan your perfect session! I will send over helpful things to prep like suggestions for outfits and locations around your home that would be best for photos! During this time, feel free to ask me anything or send over suggestions of your own! This is all about you!
3. Planning it
Now it's time for the fun part!
On the day of your session, I will arrive at your home at our planned time and we will begin! Remember, these are called lifestyle sessions, so just like life, its okay if things get a little crazy. We will be sure to get the polished portraits as well as sweet candid shots. Sessions can last anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on family size, baby's mood, etc. Breaks can be taken, baby can be fed, changed, or rocked to sleep -- this is what its all about! Your real life! Whatever is needed, we will have no reason to rush.
4. Your Session
The big reveal! Within about 2 weeks of your session, I will send over a virtual gallery where you can view all of your images, and you get to choose the ones you want to keep! The amount of images released is determined by the collection you chose at booking. Please inquire to see collections and pricing.
5. Viewing Your Photographs
After you have chosen your images, I will make any other edits needed to polish them up, and have your final gallery delivered to you. You now have the option to spend a complimentary artwork credit, valued by collection. I am more than happy to help you choose an image and style for your home!
